Every tower is handmade and unique
Each Tukataka tower is an original and valuable handmade product created individually in our family-run workshop. When we say handmade, we mean handmade! Our towers are not mass-produced on a production line as we care about every tower.
Every tower is original, and 100 % unique. There are no duplicates. :)
We use child-safe paint designed for toy production. There are no visible joints or sharp edges.
The brushes need to be washed after each painting.
Each Tukataka tower is built, painted and varnished by hand.
Each abacus used is assembled by hand, bead by bead.
This is how we assemble the chalkboard onto the tower.
One of the things that make our towers so distinctive is the tremendous choice of colours and varnishes available. We can proudly say that perhaps we have the most extensive choice of colours in the world – up to 38 different colours! Remember, all Tukataka towers are hand-made and painted/varnished by hand specific to the customers’ preference. That makes them 100% unique. We encourage our customers to take the opportunity to design their dream learning tower!
The learning towers that are painted using a lighter shade colour or with a clear varnish beautifully show the unique wood structure.
You can choose from a large number of colors.
Finally, each child’s name is hand-painted on the tower. Let everyone see the proud owner of the learning tower!
We must bear this in mind prior to the towers being dispatched.
Freshly made towers, stacked and ready to be treated and painted. Afterwards, they will be sent off to their new owners.
Final step – packing: This is also done by hand. Each tower is wrapped in several layers of shrink wrap; polystyrene is then added, and the Tower is wrapped again in another layer of shrink wrap.
This is how the towers look when leaving our workshop.
